Not going to recommend this either, and no CFD to support it, but both my compact pick-up truck (1998 S-10) and small car (1977 911) at three car lengths at 70 mph behind a full sized SUV can get some drafting effect.

In fact at a more typical and safer six car lengths there is just a smidgen of drafting effect taking place which is better than free air.

Some of my seat of the pant impressions are based on the wind buffeting I get in the 911 with the Targa top off. Behind a large semi truck it's a instant indicator.
