Just buy tires in Europe. I understand that RR ratings are a requirement there. Of course the air fare over there etc. etc. increase the cost of the tires.

I'm sure that tires even of the same make/model sold in USA don't necessarily meet the same Euro spec, so I don't think one can effectively research tires there and buy here.

Whadya think, Frank? You asked for input....

I suspect the problem is with the OP. He continues to post, and surely he would have told us the result of the conversation - or why it didn't take place if the problem was on the other end. He's from NH and that's not the hot bed of tire research. I suspect the guy wasn't a tire engineer at all and the OP is afraid to admit it!

But I was really interested in what answers the guy would have given - and compare them to my own.

Are you guys still interested in responses to your questions?
