Teenager built an electric mazda pickup truck

From abg: http://www.autobloggreen.com/2008/01...-pickup-truck/

This is pretty interesting it not necessarily for the fact that it's a truck, but that he went out and just did it...I bet darin's jealous he didn't do it all those centuries ago when he was a teenager,

Hey, glad to see you found my story. Just joined here.

Anyway, yeah, I paid for the conversion myself... I lifeguarded for a while and saved up money for it. Adds up if you don't spend it all on stuff like movies and video games!

P.S.- I don't know how to ski either.

It's great stuff to see more and more people exploring these things.

If you guys are interested in the DIY EV conversions, http://www.kiwiev.com/ is a great journal account of a guy converting a car, from buying it to getting it certified - which should happen on Feb 4th! Gav is a good guy that I have communicated with some. He bought most of his parts from a company right near me called EV America.

Maybe greenflight can give us some nitty gritty details about his conversion.

Whew! That was close. I saw a good picture of the engine bay. The workmanship is verrrrrry clean. Thanks for stepping up to bat for the planet and stuff.

Great Job !
