so imagine an 80 mpg 2 seater which runs with a corvette.

kits starting at $3999, uses a honda civic donor car.

seats tandem, weighs 1200 pounds, enclosed with seat belts, heater, working doors and windows. AC is up to you, but doable using donor car parts.

I still like the Fiero kits something about that plastic body and v8 engine is alluring to me.
with the rite gearing I see it as a sleeper in hypermiling capabillity.
2m4 did get fair mileage in stock for despite their perfomance orientation.

Here's the problem.....
not enough demand.
People have come to expect a level of fit anf trim the is far beyond just 15 yrs ago.

You will never achieve that with a 4 or 5 or 7,000 dollar bolt on kit.
Just for starters.
Look at this.....millions more consumers of autos since the 70's when Kit Car mag was at it's heights.
But those consumers have been raised on highly polished and fit & finished products. Just look at where Kia is in the market.

again, not enough 'ecomodders' willing to spend $$$$ when they can by a quality 10-15 yr old product and slap on coroplast.

also, people buying kits are buyin nostalga.
just look at the aftermarket for early mustangs! You can buy every unibodys brand new!

That's beautiful. Long way from a bolt-on aero kit, though.

If you've got a link to a kit that meets your description, please post it. Otherwise, the best we can do is 'imagine', right?
