Well,
I emailed the developer, still waiting for word back. My thinking is if all their doing is buying bulk parts and throwing them in a bag calling it a "kit", then they probably either won't have or don't want the hassle or capability of actually assembling them (that would take a lot of machinery or manpower). Not to mention I would assume that would add a whole new realm of warranties, MPGuino's breaking in mail, that don't work etc.

So... how do you plan on patching it into your wiring harness if you suck at wiring?
Or were you hoping for someone to make a add-in harness for your car too? LOL. That would cost a lot of money, to say the least.
If you can get me a wiring schematic for your car, and the installation schematic for the MPGuino (wiring), I can see if it would even be cost effective to make a plug in adapter harness for your car.

ah.. well, if you splice them together, and don't solder, you most likely will not get good signals, and you'll end up with problems... that's been my experience.

Sorry, but I never saw an email. Sent to dcb@opengauge.org? I've been working on a PCB deal . Plenty of technical details but I think I have them mostly sorted out (need to re-do the components to standard drill sizes). There's probably a hole in the pre-fab segment and I was hoping to take a crack at it, perhaps with various support/warranty options to make it more viable beyond the bag of parts phase.
I wasn't into manufacturing a few months ago, but I think I need to be, more than I want to be.

Well, given the proper testing/manufacturing time, I could easily assemble the kits for those interested... with your permissions, of course.
Problem is, I have no idea what the kit even looks like, and I'm almost positive I don't have the right equipment to assemble it based on what I've heard.
Maybe dcb could send me a schematic or a work sheet of what needs to be done to assemble/install the unit?
I could even work on making plug and play adapters for some cars... that would require more time, obviously.

Depending on the price I would be interested. Even an OBD version would be of interest to me. The Scangauge does not work accurately on diesels (at least on my 2 jettas), and could be more precise on gassers equipped with a wideband o2 sensor instead of simply using the MAF output in the calculation.
I also like something with an open architecture I can code something into if I feel like it.

I would be interested.
I would like to know the projected price so I can start saving money.
Current financial situation forbids any extraneous spending.
(but I can plan for the future)
I bid on the one DCB (?) had on ebay.
But I lost.
Give me something to shoot for.
Thanx
S.
