For that kind of money keep your eyes peeled for a used Mirage. At 15years old Honda did not offer some parts for my VX. The Insight is much more rare?

Sadly, I can't find any Mirages anywhere close to me for a reasonable price used. I don't think I've seen any under about 10k.

Manual IMA (integrated motor assist, the Honda hybrid setup). It gives you control of regen and assist hybrid functions as well as background charging I believe. There are/were several renditions of it.

This one has crept into my radar. I had removed Civic hybrids because I didn't want any hassles with the batteries. But, the price is attractive and miles are low... Any tips if I go to take a look at it?
2004 Honda Civic Hybrid
119k miles, $2500

For sale is my 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid. The car runs, shifts, and drives great. The reason I'm selling it is because I bought another civic and no longer need this one. The o2 sensor is bad, so the check engine light is on. The body and interior are both clean - very minor imperfections. The car does not leak or burn anything. I usually get about 40-42 mpg highway and 38ish in the city. For anymore information or pictures please feel free to call/text me.
Thanks

I have run into a 2 Insightfull Situation.
Over the next 3 months I will be downgrading from my 2001 Red Honda Insight with 198k to a 2000 Red Honda insight.
If you are in no hurry and looking for a cheap ride I would think my insight will fit the bill.
It has some dents and a crack in the bumper and I also have most of the aero panels removed (but most are laying around for you).
EGR valve was replaced, plugs replaced 30k ago, brakes were done 2000 miles ago, valves were done about 20k ago, springs were upgraded.
The "new" insight needs battery work but otherwise needs a set of LRR tires. I plan on swapping tires and some other goodies before I sell.
You can take this as a my loss your gain situation if you can handle an easy $2100 60mpg, car that does need anything to run but can be made better if you clean out the EGR plate (which needs it again)
Battery will be a question mark until I decide how I want to proceed over the next few months, I have a good one and a ????
And obviously I still have my good for 50mpg Cobalt XFE that should go away as its not getting used much.
Good Luck
Ryan

When you're ready to do something send me a PM and we'll see what we have at that point. I'm just casually looking, but if I see something worth while I'll probably nab it up.
I almost jumped on a 04 RX8 this weekend, more as a car to flip than a daily driver. The price was too good and repairs needed were pretty small. Alas, someone got there first.

After all, they aren't making them any more.

Daox:
50 MPG 2001 Honda Insight not to many of these out there
Also, I'd be willing to sell mine for the same price. Has more miles (~175k at the moment), but I just put brand new re92s on.

Thats a bit high price for my taste considering the miles. There is one not too far away for $2400, but it has about 216k on it (new pack at 150k though). Its in the back of my mind as a possibility.
###2000 Honda Insight ###
The other car that has popped on to my radar is still stupid far away (5hr drive), but seems like a decent deal. I love the idea of having a 2 year old car. The mileage would be great, it even has a few bells and whistles. Seems like the life left in this car is massively more than pretty much anything I've looked at. Of course the price is higher too, but incredibly so.
