Throttle stop
I spent a lot of time cruising and watching the scangauge, my fuel economy drops sharply when my throttle position sensor reading changes from 22 to 23 - whatever that unit measurement is. For a while I have been hunking of making a spring loaded bracket to allow full use of the gas pedal but to increase resistance when at the 22 readout so I can comfortably put my foot down and leave it there without watching the scangauge.
Anybody make one yet?
Also, 2006 corolla 5spd with drive by wire, when the AC is on I seem to get better mileage as long as I'm below 22readout, as if with the AC on and cruising the ecu was usin a different fuel map. I thought it was nuts but I showed it to my dad and I can recreate the condition, at high speed cruising it takes one less unit of tps to maintain speed. Sounds nuts but what if the ecu goes I to a sort of leanburn maybe, how could I check O2 readings, will scangauge 2 do it?

I don't have a ScanGauge. I have the UltraGauge, but I am certain your gauge reads all the available engine sensors. Your corolla will have two or more O2 sensors and you'll want to set the ScanGauge to report from the number one, or upstream, sensor.

Interesting. Is this at one particular speed. Do all other operating parameters remain the same (timing, temp, windows closed etc)?

When I saw the thread title, I thought, "uh oh! Bad idea!"
Then I was glad to read you were wondering more about a dual stage spring setup, not an actual stop.
I've driven a car with a very distinct 2-stage throttle spring... calibrated with the auto transmission so you had to consciously push into the 2nd spring region to get a downshift. So there's no reason you couldn't do this.
