Trucking Trifecta (spotted: pizza pans, trailer skirts, boat tail .. all on one rig)

I finally saw one today: a big rig bearing all the over-the-counter aftermarket aero mods:

1. Pizza pans on the wheels. Schneider has been doing just the drive axles, but this one had them on the trailer wheels too.

2. Trailer skirts. I'm seeing lots of these, now.

3. A Trailer Tail One of the long tails, this guy was committed.

I've seen a few rigs bearing one or the other, this was the first one to have hit all the buttons. I'm curious to know why so many rigs with pizza pans only go for the drive axles, especially if it's a company like Schneider - they own their trailers.

Sorry, no pictures. Too busy keeping it 'twixt the ditches.

Re: the pizza pans - I wonder if it's to keep an eye on those "your wheel might be about to fall off" indicators beneath the lug nuts...

One other thing I have seen a few trucks with is mud flaps that have slits cut in them. I would guess that it is to keep from throwing mud but to not create as much drag (just a guess).
