I had a good read there.

The test was done at 30-60 degrees C, 30 being better than 60.

I have no instrumentaion, but would hazard that cold air in Auckland NZ this time of year is about 8-12 degrees C and that the temp of my air after it has been heated on the exhaust manifold after passing throught the air filter and 2 plus feet of intake ducting would be about 30 degrees C, just going on holding in my hand the intake ducting near entry to the engine.

I feel the test condition need to be expanded to appreciate warmer air benefits in climates colder than 30 plus Degrees.

The IAT's tested are in the correct range for the motor tested given ambient temp ranges going through the entire intake tract. I have a very similar motor and have monitored these temps before at various loads, temps, conditions, ect. Each motor may vary some in the temps they operate best so keep this in mind.

Granted@ em setting( this won't happen).
max boost can be pushed past the systems capacity to yield higher pressure. The increase in pressure is from heat 450°+iat.the same volume of air is pushed in just expanded (less efficient) to combat this problem an intercooler is used (larget than stock. Or more than one cool cooler.)
Increase iac=increased egt =Faster spin on turbo(expanded exost gas) this can snowball quickly into melted pistons.
My 91 dodge stock as Cummings built it.
I see this on long hills w/ac on my intercooler gets heat soaked from the condenser. I'll pick pu 100°-150°f on my egt meeter
@wot I. See the turbo lag on egt meeter egt will spike to1100°f and as pressure increases (engine leaning out) egt drops to 1000°f.
At idle(cold in park grid heater on)250°w/ac+25°
Idle (worm) 275°
Idle (cold hot in gear)300°
Compression breaking. 150-200° and 2 psi boost (reason over feeding o2 as stated by others leaner is colder)
