OK - he said he'll be near the gas station.

It's a black one (the car, not the gas station). Looks classy (first black one I've seen).

I'll be there in the giant family truckster (grey Honda Odyssey).

War_wagon won't be attending (flu & scheduling).

FYI, I also had the pleasure of meeting ECOHondaOdyssey last weekend.

We went out for an ecodriving session in his van see if there was anything he could work on, technique-wise.

Not really! Pretty solid handle on what to do to squeeze ~11.7 L/100 km (if memory serves) from the beastly van in moderately busy urban traffic.

11.7 L/100 km = 20 mpg (US). The city rating for this van is 17 mpg (US), so that's 18% over EPA.

Also spent some time chatting about possible mods.

Nissan Leaf demo day

Good meetup today!

Orange4boy crashed our Nissan Leaf inspection party. I recognized the moon-eyed Prius as soon as I saw it roll into the parking lot:

eBooger brought eBooger Jr, and she was incredibly well behaved, considering the grown ups were boringly standing around talking car stuff. (I would have given her full marks, but I think her bottom lip quivered a little bit when daddy switched to ride in the front seat of the Leaf, leaving Jr in back with scary-looking me. So 9/10 is all she gets.)

Of all the Leafs I've seen, the black paint makes the car look the least offensive. (Especially at night, I bet!) I usually make a point of not commenting about styling, because it's so subjective. So when I do, you know it must be serious! It's a bit of a mullet car, let's face it. But I understand they're working on its aero, which is some sort of good news.

Thanks for posting a nice clean shot of the Prius, Darin. It's in need of a scrub down. Good to meet you guys.

Fun meet up. I was really impressed with the Leaf acceleration with 4 + 1/4 people on board (mini eEooger is a whole person but 1/4 the weight and 2.5X the cute.)

Bummer that War_Wagon could'nt make it. After your post on the War_Wagon's herd, I'm dying to see it now and meet the champion eco-hoarder.

...And I still have to check out the eBooger

Ya I wish I could have made it, but I had an auction to go to. Plus you know when there is someone where you work that shows up with the flu when they should have stayed at home, coughing all over the place and gets everyone sick? That would have been me, so I just got people at the auction sick instead and went home ha ha.

I think you owe orange4boy and I a tour of your eco-herd.

You may sadly reach market saturation after selling 2 tickets.

Sadly I think you are right. If there was more interest around here for this stuff then I wouldn't be stuck with it lol

Sayonara, BC ecomodders - I'm on my way back to sunny Eastern Ontario today.

It was good to meet you guys, and see your project vehicles.

Drop me a line if you're ever in the 1000 Islands area!
