I've cut 1" wide, 1/16" thick and 2" long metal strips and bent them 90* on vise. Next drilled bracket directly to inner edge of wheel well with self-tapping screws. Painted and sealed with waterproof glue. Finally screwed in skirt again with self-tapping screws. There are 4 brackets to hold tight and safe wheel skirt.

Have you considered adding a small duck-tail spoiler to reattach the flow on the back of the car ?
I notice the hybrid has a small duck-tail spoiler.

Perhaps some tuft testing would be useful.

I was thinking about about it, but I've heard it doesn't make big difference.

There's really not much else you could do without significantly more radical modifications; perhaps the rest of the underside could be smoothed over. Very clean work, I like it better than stock. I'm inspired to try this on my car. Have you tuft-tested your hood vents to see if they work the way they should?
