Hmm, it's interesting that it doesn't have rear wheel skirts in the snow. I wonder if they had any issues with snow/ slush building up in the wheel well.

Your concern brings a pragmatic feature; that the rear skirt covers have to be thoughtfully engineered to be easily removed and stowed inside the vehicle. The wider worldwide marketing and the various driving conditions would require that feature. Prevent buildup of mud, dirt, snow and convenient access for tire changing & brake maintenance.

I ran almost full wheel skirts on my Dodge Neon, the majority of the tire was covered and I didn't have any problems, but that doesnt mean that other cars won't. One aspect that I think is important is the size of the wheel well, between the fender liner and the tire. My neon had a huge gap, which is maybe why I never had a problem, but the VW might.

I like the protruding rear edge with the lights. Reminds of the rear of a car I saw on EM, maybe Dave Cloud's Dolphin?

Yes - very nice, and very interesting car. Hope they are goint to market it. The test in the snow to me is a sign, that they prepare for market it.

Its too bad they don't stick to more appropriate tires, I really hate 16"+ tires. Stick with 14" RE92s and they would do better or at most 15", given they only have 115's in the one slot (which is OK by me honestly) they should go with a smaller tire instead of wasting more internal space on wheel well to cover 16's
