Bob Gillespie, organizer of the Green Grand Prix sent along a scan of a magazine article that was just published by Victory Lane Magazine (" The Vintage & Historic Racing News Magazine ") about the event.
I love the paragraph about the EM participants:
Quote:
Two of the more interesting cars were the Pontiac Firefly and Honda Civic entered by members of the Ecomodders Car Club. Every car club I've been involved with has been concerned with making the cars go faster, but these young people are passionate about improving the mileage and emissions of their cars. I didn't get to talk to them about the mechanical modifications, but visually you could see that wheel openings had been covered to help airflow, as well as part of the grill opening, while, for lack of a better word, a spoiler was attached at the back window, again for the airflow.

Keep an eye on their web site, but I don't expect to see anything until early in the new year:

Anything planned in the Northwest anywhere? I believe there is one in the spring in the Portland/Seattle area every year. I am going to try and make that one from Northern Idaho. Should be a good time too! :{)

doesnt seem like theres many but. the ecoers with civics and other hondas should go to honda day.
honda day atco raceway NJ 4/14-15/2012
honda day englishtown NJ 8/11-12/2012
I think it would be a good way to promote the eco scene. all while watching some drag racing and custom show hondas
