1982 Diesel Suburban 2wd C-code 482,000 miles last I knew (motor still ran)

Body rusted off.

Everything was very original except the alternator and starter which went almost yearly.

299k miles and counting. My valves are a little noisy and could use an adjustment I'm sure, but I'm not noticing any mileage or drivability issues so the beat goes on

392,000 on a '92 Dodge Dakota I bought new w 2.5 4cyl. 5 manual. I used it on my courier job, All within 4 years....needed new radiator toward the end, but original clutch was fine, and 1st set of tires nearly lasted 100,00! Still got 34mpg in warmer months with flush fit canopy (camper top).

Current life, 2 Honda CRX's 230,00ish, 1 more crx at 180,000, many many more miles expected out of all Hondas....its just a number!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My first car was a '91 BMW 525i 5MT with 350K on the clock when I sold it. Thing was a tank. Unbelievably reliable car.

Thumbs up

I had a 1993 Toyota v6 4wd xtra cab with 250k miles on original engine and trans when I sold it.

My current 1992 civic lx just rolled over 270k miles today. I put on about 1k a week so I'm hoping this thing can go to 300

One of the things that I have learned about cars and trucks is that if you keep fixing them, they keep running. Some however, take many more parts and fixing than others; I'm talking to you Ford!

Mine was a 1985 Jetta diesel. It got between 48 and 52 MPG (no hypermiling) depending on the road and ran for 249K miles before the fuel injector tapped out. At that point it was no longer cost effective to repair. Loved that car.

I had a 89 corolla GT-S with 263,000 miles (420,800Km) when i sold it. Previous owner told me the engine was rebuilt but had no papers. Drove like a top and consistently got over 30 mpg. From my knowlegde kid i sold it to blew it up. 2nd was my 99 accord 5 speed that i sold at 190miles.(304km) now has over 200k with a salvage title. Was also getting over 30mpg on every fill up. Loved both these cars.
