What car have you owned with the highest miles / kms?
(Flickr image credit: Brennen Bearnes)
Darin and I were talking this morning and we couldn't recall a thread on this topic.
What car have you owned that has had the highest miles on it? Or, what have you driven with the highest miles? Please do the Km conversion for non US members. 1 mile = 1.61 km.
For me, its my first car I owned, a 1993 Toyota Tercel. It has 217,000 miles (350,000 km) on it. I actually still have it and it would be running except for a dead fuel pump, and lack of time to work on it.
Oddly enough, I think the highest mileage car I've driven was actually just last night. I was working on my brother in law's '94 S10. We got it running and he drove it home. I drove his late 90s Grand Am with 296,000 miles / (476k km) on it home for him.

I had a 79 Honda Civic two-speed Hondamatic that I ended up with around 275K on before I sold it. Delivered pizzas at night, was my DD during the day, so the miles piled up quick on it.
Loved that car! Paid 250 bucks for it and drove it for 6 years. Bought all my parts at the U-pull, where I would get tires on the rims for 10 bucks.

(Don't forget the conversions, people!)
Wow. Some of these high milers make my personal best seem like but a baby.
'89 Accord 5-speed:
I sold it with ~350,000 km (218k miles) on it. The next owner drove it a few more years to 450k kms / 279k miles, if memory serves.
No engine/trans issues ever.
Rust takes away cars before wear.

Never kept track, but I can't remember ever buying a car with less than 100K miles (161K km) on it. Currently the Insight has about 190K miles (305K km), the Toyota pickup is showing about 225K (362K km), but the speedometer broke a few years ago, and I haven't bothered to fix it.
