Hmm, for me, I'm not worried about driving a funny looking car to work, because my coworkers tend to understand how I roll. Also, I'm happy to explain the idea of aeromods to them, and my fuel economy numbers justify my funny-looking car. It's actually around town, in front of strangers and acquaintances, that I have a problem being seen in an "interstellar clown car".

One of the few subtle aeromods you haven't mentioned is a variable grille block. You could keep the grille block closed around town and at low speeds on the interstate, and have better aerodynamics when you don't need much power.

A cheap and easy mod of unknown (to me) efficacy is to seal the panel gaps around the headlights and hood with weatherstripping.

Robertsmalls, I already did the hood gap, just forgot to mention it.

Gasstingy, I did a quick grill block and air dam on a 2010 Dodge Journey, best mpg was 30 with AC and 6 passengers on a 1600 mile round trip. The wife's best mpg was 24 so she was impressed and perplexed at the backward logic of the two aeromods, but happy to be getting more mpg.

Thanks Phantom for the info. I'm almost there ... ready to rip out the carpet, once I exhaust the easier mods, I'm sure the carpet will be going in the trash.
