What I've been talking about, Suzuki's new Turbo Twin

After seeing this ARTICLE from Visor Down, I felt sort of somewhat, vindicated. If that's remotely the right word.

My SV650 TURBO as well as my Yamaha 550 Ultra lean burn multi fuel turbo bike, are my examples of proof of concept to some of the same thinking. Increased adiabatic efficiencies as well as the typical Volumetric efficiencies with some other design improvements related to higher internal chemical energy conversion.

So for what its worth, it's good to see a manufacture show some example of not just increasing power but gaining a significant amount of fuel efficiency as well. Of course whether they actually get it out over here to the states, is yet to be seen or heard.

Noteworthy, from the article

Quote:
The concept weighs 174kg and offers 50% better fuel economy than a sports 600, according to the specifications.

That's a "turboed NC700" linking the FE with average biker expectations, I wish it good luck (wouldn't spit on a 400 or less derivative if it's around 60 to 70 bhp either)
