drmiller100 - the forum has a powerful search feature that would have uncovered the information you're accusing another member of "BS" over.
Not what I'd call civil.

I think that one thing that would help to have more friendly debates would be to understand there is no such thing as single best thing *insert subject here*, because there are always nearly unlimited amount of variables, there are nearly unlimited amount of different best out there. So while your best is best for your variables, some other can have different variables and for him best is not the same.
But it is surprisingly hard to remember this simple fact of life, but to even know it helps to remember it at least some times and might help to give more refined perspective to debate on hand, which ever debate that will be.
That is my 2c at least, but we use eurocents (toymoney), so your 2c might differ

At today's exchange rate, your 2(euro)cents are worth more...

Hey guys and gals,
I am a newbie here, but am very enthusiastic about getting as many miles per tank of gas (fuel) I use, like most users on this site.
I have read all 8 pages of this thread, and there are two things I know for sure.
1. I have greatly increased my MPG from my readings here! So thank you!
2. I have been more willing to make modifications to my vehicle to increase my FE, whether or not it will actually help, in which all cases, so far it has!
So regardless of the ad hominems that has occurred you all are making a difference and inspiring many to follow in your ways.
While it seems this "discussion" was warranted, I feel that all involved know exactly where they stand with other users.
But the fact is, you all motivate in your own ways and regardless of those means, we all have the same goal. Use less fuel and save money.
So while looking at this issue from the outside, I feel you all mean well, but unfortunately, as I have learned, typing does not always come across the same as talking and even less if you don't actually know the person.
Like I said I am very new here, but for the benefit of the site, I would recommend deleting this thread, as it is not beneficial for newcomers or anyone else.
I apologize if I have offended anyone with these words and welcome a PM if I have.
Just my thoughts.
-Dave

Debate is good! We need to hear all info!
Its being still civil when dissention starts that is key for a topic to be passed around for input, and for its meaning to hopefully come to some kind of conclusion,
if only to say that in my circumstances, this idea works for me mindframe!
