What vehicles have you owned?

Seems everyone has fond memories of this car, or that old truck that they had. Why not get a thread going listing all of the vehicles you've owned?

For me, it is:
1997 Grand Am, 2 door, 2.4L auto
2001 Regal GS, supercharged, rare edition (1 of 150 made)*
1992 Regal, 2 door
1987 Isuzu P'up, 1.9L (or 1.8L?), 4spd stick, 2WD (40+ mpg)
1995 S10, ext cab, 2WD, 4.3L auto*
1996 Grand Am, 2 door, 2.4L, 5 speed*
* = still own

Oh, fun! I was just thinking about this last week - wondering if we'd done this thread before. I don't think we have - at least I haven't replied to one before.

We have done this one though:

I've had quite a few, mostly because all through school, I would buy a car, fix it up, keep it for ~6-12 months, then sell it. Rinse, repeat, rinse, repeat... The money I made covered my fuel/insurance and maybe left a small profit, so I drove for "free" (minus cost of the initial car) for quite a long time.

---

Cast, in order of appearance:

1964 Pontiac Catalina 4-door hardtop, 389 automatic (one and only automatic transmission owned)

1979 AMC Spirit
2.0L 4-speed (rusted out hand-me-down from an aunt, horrid, horrid car!)

The VW Rabbit Frenzy Years!
  • 1977 2-door 1.6L 5-speed (Mexico Beige!)
  • 1980 4-door 1.6L 5-speed (silver, sunroof, sold to my brother)
  • 1982 2-door 1.7L 5-speed (dark green)
  • 1984 2-door 1.7L 5-speed (not a GTI, but had GTI wheels on it, which is why I bought it, so I could put them on: )
  • 1981 Cabriolet 1.7L 5-speed (silver, black top)
  • 1982 2-door 1.7L 5-speed (white, Aunt Charlotte's car)

1974 Volvo 240 sedan, ??L 4-speed -- field car

1983 Datsun/Nissan Sentra wagon, 1.5L 5-speed

1985 Toyota Tercel 4-door hatchback, 1.5L 5-speed

1984 Honda Civic hatchback, 1.5L 5-speed

1985 Toyota Camry sedan 1.8L 5-speed

1989 Honda Accord LX 1.8L 5-speed

1997 Kawasaki Ninja 250

1998 Pontiac Firefly (Geo Metro) 1.0L 5-speed

1998 Pontiac Firefly (Geo Metro) 1.0L 5-speed *

1992 Suzuki Swift 1.3L 5-speed (parts car / abandoned donor for the ForkenSwift EV)

1992 Geo Metro (converted to ForkenSwift EV)

1991 Pontiac Firefly convertible 1.0L 5-speed (in the project queue, awaiting restoration) *

1991 Suzuki Swift GT 1.3L 5-speed (parts car)

2000 Honda Insight 1.0L 5-speed

2006 Honda Civic 1.8L 5-speed

2004 Toyota Prius 1.5L CVT

2004 Toyota Echo 1.5L 5-speed

2000 Chevrolet Metro 1.0L 5-speed *

1990 Mazda Miata 1.6L 5-speed *

2014 Mitsubishi Mirage - The Fancy Metro - 1.2L 5-speed

2014 Mitsubishi Mirage - The Even Fancier Metro - 1.2L 5-speed

1999 Pontiac Firefly - driveable parts car - 1.0L 5-speed

2008 Honda Fit - 1.5L 5-speed

2014 Mitsubishi Mirage base model - Appliance Car - 1.2L 5-speed

(* still have)

Fun fact!
1.8L = car fleet average engine displacement, incl. 389ci Pontiac
1.5L = car fleet average engine displacement, excluding 389ci Pontiac

70 vehicles... that's funny.

I've been telling people the last few years that with the vehicles in my current fleet, and considering how little I drive, I may not need to buy another car for the rest of my life!
