Where to get multi-pane inside rear view mirror?

I got this question from a MetroMPG.com visitor...

Quote:
I thoroughly enjoyed your article on side mirror drag http://www.metrompg.com/posts/mirrors.htm - I plan to experiment with my Honda Element's folding side mirrors now! I was intrigued by the image you included of a multi-paned rear view mirror, but I could not locate such a product. Any chance you know who made that mirror? Thanks!
Here's the mirror type (top) he's referring to in the mmpg post:

Anyone know offhand where these can be bought?

I have seen the bottom one at a local autozone. I know jcwhitney.com sells both types.

edit: they don't have the day/night lever so they might be annoying at night.

I have this one but it's a PITA to install because it's heavy and designed for 1970's rear-view mirrors (this relegated it to the TODO list) :

17" WRAPAROUND PANORAMIC WIDE-ANGLE MIRROR ~$11
http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/I...D:100000218469

There is also a 13.5" for $1 less :

13.5" WRAPAROUND PANORAMIC WIDE-ANGLE MIRROR ~$10
http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/I...D:100000218468

Here is a 4-mirror multi-mirror :

RALLY FULL-VIEW 4 -PANEL MIRRORS ~$19

Just throwing in a late reply...

Some sort of golf cart supplier should have one... The carts at my University, most of them at least, have the multi pane ones

I have a convex rearview mirror in the Geo (from Wal-Mart) and because of the diverging properties of the mirror, headlamp brightness is never a problem for me.

Here is a picture of the "convex-ness" of the 17" :

The attachment assumes an older style of rear-view mirror that is thinner than mine :

I could figure it out, but I have too much on my plate right now.

Buggies Unlimited definitely has one, actually more than one. It's especially handy if you live near Virginia because shipping is especially zippy. I never actually thought about using golf cart parts but hey? If your ecomodding anything is your building blocks ^_^ If you have a golf cart and have been looking for one well.. that's the place to get it.
