White Lightning Got New Shoes

Well I had to bite the bullet early and put new shoes on my focus.

I went with the Continental TrueContacts in a P195/65r15, they weigh roughly the same as what I took off, and they are .8 inches taller, so we will see over time if I made the right decision, they are rated the highest on tirerack of the brands tested and have a good rating on deep snow, ice and winter, while having a very good rating on the rest.

These tires are rated for 90K miles and have a treadwear rating of 800, and they look great with how I have my hubcaps setup.

Pictures soon

Let us know how you like them and what kind of FE gains you see by going taller.

I've had these tires for ~4 months now. Great traction, quieter than the OEM Yokohamas, and much higher treadwear rating.

I put about 10K miles on a set on my red focus, they were factory size

The set I put on this car are a little taller

Which vehicle do you have these on and what pressure do you run to get the best fuel economy?

.
I love it, it is about time for me to do something different, and I have a lot of trash bags from when I had a rental house.

I sometimes have to go through 6" of water to get out of my area to go to work.

How have they been holding up?

Did you notice any drop or gain in FE or other hypermile variables?
