Who says small cars can't carry big loads?
On my way home the other night on I-4, I passed this guy.
He had that Smart car loaded down and was doing about 50 mph, and when I passed him it looked a lot like he might be living in it

Go to any 3rd-world country and you'll see lots of overloaded small cars.

I usually see compact cars with overloaded roof racks, but trailers seem to have become popular nowadays (at least where I live).

I miss my perceived cargo capacity of my neon.
The most was when I had an engine in the trunk, a transmission in the back seat, misc parts, and my friend/myself in the front both knocking on 250lbs. Barely had any trouble.
I read that the Insight has a rating of 400lbs for all passengers/cargo, I'm in the high 220lb range now and that really cuts it down! I have had myself and a friend who could be 300lbs without issue in there. If I needed to replace a strut on the neon, it's cheap. The Insight is expensive. I take more care going over bumps now.
With gas prices staying low I almost feel like it was the worst time to buy. It's neat getting great mileage but currently it's costing me money.

Add yourself a trailer hitch on the back like Ecky did!
He towed everything he owned up north behind his Insight a couple of months ago . . .

Love it! Here is fire wood loaded into my Civic from (removed) front and rear passenger seat area all the way to the back of the trunk compartment. All linings removed. "Super mini enclosed pick-up."

Wish I had a photo of me (6'2" tall) and friend (6'3" tall) driving to the lake in my Subaru with a stand-up jetski inside. We both put the seats fully forward with back rests fully upright. The nose of the jetski touched the windshield and the stern touched the rear hatch door.
The lengths young guys will go to to ride a crappy jetski is amazing.
Jump starting the crappy jetski
