Why do a grill block when you could put excess air to good use?

this grill block should have been put on the outside of the grill or try to make it flush with the non indented parts of the bumpers outer perimeter! it would have worked better rather then making a bunch of air catching pockets.

That grill block is also a stock Honda part, OEM on the Civic VX.
