Wild driving in Morocco: MIA's "Bad Girls" video

No eco driving here, just some wild driving, a trend in the Middle East.
Apparently there are lots of fatalities from this in places like Saudi Arabia, but this video was shot in Morocco because it's not legal for women to drive in Saudi Arabia... the song, you might guess, is about women driving (and all that cultural stuff about independence and freedom and sexuality that usually comes with these go boxes):

When I was working in Saudi next door to the compound I lived on, right outside the Kings farm at Janidiriyah every weekend there would be hoardes of people watching the crazy guys in their Camrys and Altimas drifiting. There were regularly fatalities when the cars got out of control and ploughed into the crowds. Pretty much every day I would see a road accident of some description. Often you couldnt make any sense of where the cars were positioned, it was often comical, with cars teetering on the edges of overpasses etc.

Dubai was interesting. I have never seen so many Maserati's, Audi R-8's, Bentley's, and the occasional Lambo and Ferrari.

Apparently a teacher in Dubai (I know because that person told me...) can get a loan for up to eight times their yearly salary. All of the nice cars are basically a mortgage without the house. A great way to stay in debt...

Saudis all live on credit as far as I could see...I have been to Dubai a lot of times for some big weekends. Most memorable was 20 of us in a stretch Hummer. Carnage!

At first I couldn't decide which was worse, the music or the drifting. Then I noticed the pavement was only *that* wide. They've got a whole lot of dirt in that country.
