Winter

Good December, Fellow Travellers,
I was surfing the internetz (cause I can't surf in the water)
and I found a poem that made me think of all our freinds from the
Great White North
Wanna hear it?
Here it goes

Winter in Manitoba

It's winter in Manitoba
And the gentle breezes blow -
Seventy miles an hour
At thirty-five below.

Oh, how I love Manitoba
When the snow's up to your butt -
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut.

Yes, the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I'll hang around;
I could never leave Manitoba
'Cause I'm frozen to the ground!

Have fun and enjoy the weather,
Schultz

I started my Electro-Metro project by taking apart a forklift in my driveway in a blizzard.

I now understand that it's not really winter until your tools disappear under accumulating snow between when you set something down, and then go to pick it back up!

I'm in my second week of Sub 15deg F temperatures... not happy.

had some freezing rain recently, spent a half hour with the car on, attempting to defrost, trying to scrape through the 1/4 inch of ice that mother nature so lovingly covered my car with.

Its not winter until you walk outside and its 30deg F out and thats a "warm" day.

Back when I was in elementary school I learned that getting flicked in the ear is brutally painful after being out in the cold for a while. That's what winter means to me.

I moved from Ontario to the east coast for the winter. Pleasantly surprised: it's been MUCH milder out here than I was expecting. Statistically it's supposed to be something like 3-4C (6-8F roughly) warmer through the winter months. My dad likes the weather trivia, so I emailed him a comparison I made of temps between here and there. I know he'll get a kick out of it:

I've been mountain biking in shorts 2x this week, including today. It's been unusually warm. I know that's going to come to an end soon enough!
