Ice scraper, brush, studded tires, shovel (it's plastic not metal so i can dig under Princess without damaging her),the dash sock.
The dash sock also got a little brother with rice in it, it seems about half as effective.

I'm also testing one of these this year: Torrbollen.

Sure helped the window !

-studded winter tire
-install block heater+timer
-rain-x washer fluid (this stuff never freeze on windshield)
-tow strap+ booster cable in trunk
-installed a small weatherproof 2A battery charger that I'll plug with my block heater, having a freshly charged battery greatly improve cold start.

When temps dips below -25F I bring back the booster pack in the house overnight for a charge.

I have added a 2/4 amp smart charger to the block heater system this winter. I also carrie a sleeping bag and warm cloths in case I get stuck or stranded. I plug in the car at higher temps this year as well.

I lagged under the hood and above the belly pan with bubble foil insulation. I also ordered one of these for the windscreen:Eufab Windshield Heater 12V | Car Winter Article Maintenance, Service Car | Conrad Electronic SE - Car Winter Article
A full set of vredestein snowtrac3 tyres. A tow rope and engine preheater(HOT FROG 1200 Motorvorwrmer) is on the cards also.
-20 windscreen wash is also being stockpiled.

And three toboggans for the kids.....

Despite all this i have a nagging feeling this winter won't be anywhere near as bad as the last one.

Seeing my expensive relationship with the local Volvo dealer was permanently broken up, I'm going to reinstall the upper grill block - blocking even more than before.
I'll reuse the proven quick & dirty method of tape.
If it looks like trash, no problem, that's what the car has become to me.
Somehow the tape doesn't really like to stick to the grille this year, so I'll double it up upon itself on the back.

Winter tyres are going back on.

Windshield washer fluid has already been changed.
A few connectors in the windshield washer fluid line quit on me even before winter really started, so these have been replaced as well.
