A year on Ecomodder.com

I started my EM account a year ago today, and this is post 1000. I have saved a little over $1000 in fuel by EM's fuel log estimate and probably at least $1000 more in learning to repair my car myself. Of course, I have spent about $1500 on "stuff" and tools for the car, but you gotta love what you drive, whatever you drive. Mostly I have spent a lot of time, learning and sharing experiences and ideas (sometimes half-baked "ideas"). I have a long list of mods to the car, check my garage entry... clearly I have been almost obsessed.

Thank you!

james

My minimum fuel economy goal is 55 mpg while averaging posted speed limits. I generally top 60 mpg. See also my Honda manual transmission specs thread.

$1 per post, not a bad ROI, you should post more for even more savings.

Awesome stuff!!! I have been an automotive enthusiest since I was born so I have tools and a little knowhow, but learnin to go slower and use less fuel is against everything Ive ever learned or believed in LOL. Its a fun adventure and rewarding just the same every time I fill up and realize a certain mod or driving technique is working to my advantage. Keep it up!
Matt
