when you're disgusted that most school busses, and even 18whlrs. are so much faster than in the past.
It used to be that school buses were sticks that even a vw van could blow away on the bottom end. Now w AT, they jack rabbit after their stops, leaving you to look bad.
On trips now, it's only the older or more heavily laded 18whlrs. that I pack with going up the steepest freeway grades in America. And, yes... all of us are running our flashers as we cruise uphill at 30mph.
About the only buddies we still have left is to fall behind a cement mixer truck!!!
when you slow down for the head winds on a trip in mid USA, and you have no trees, or flags to gauge the wind; but you are burning your eyes out trying to watch the grass wave
when you have all the manhole covers and other like bumps so memorized to avoid needless wear and tear on your veh., that your racing line can almost be done in your sleep!

when you see other people on the freeway, some on the shoulder; some in the slow lane coming home w high trees in their PU, or maybe a donut tire situation going on....They figure they are crawling, so they have flashers on as you pass them at your normal freeway speed w/o flashers, and you are only 2mph faster than they are!!!
Or , sort of the reverse: You are in normal mode, and the 2 above described pass YOU w their flashers on only for themselves!

YKYAEM if...
... People ask why your side mirror is on the inside, not on the outside, of the door.

YKYAEM..
when you briskly accelerate from a stoplight (beating a wannabe SRT-4 Neon across the intersection, after he revved his engine at you) and your mom says "well, there goes your gas mileage", to which you reply telling her about BSFC and how you never went past the optimum engine load, throttle position or RPM
