You cringe when someone tells you they get 30 mpg in a Vibe, driving mostly highway

That's happened to me a number of times while driving my Mustang at the speed limit. I'd be willing to bet that their "% over EPA" is less than mine.

A guy was bragging to me that his '98 Honda Accord 4-cylinder gets 29 MPG. I "rained on his parade" when I told him I'd managed to get over 31 MPG commuting to work with my 4 Liter V6 Mustang on 4 consecutive fill-ups.

...you use the prius for draft.

be it the routines of people, I have done this more than once on the highway...would love to compare notes to a 1987 subaru 1781cc with ten gears. I would be a bubble burster no doubt.

I like the prius out there trucking along. it does not need to be the tiny midget in the right hand lane or a leaning old toyota 22r pickup...or those other inline "legends of longevity"

YKYAEM if...
... It takes you 9 months to notice that your radiator fan doesn't work, because you forgot to plug it back in when adding some mods at the end of last summer. You only noticed the fan's dead b/c your SGII showed engine coolant temperature in a traffic jam was 115°C (239°F).

.....if you discover that the junker 85 Maxima you bought 3 months prior doesn't have a belt on the water pump and you didn't overheat the thing somehow....

Turns out the power steering pump shared a belt with the water pump, and the PS pump was rusted solid. Had to make a idler pully setup from extra parts on the car and completely reconfigure the belt configuration to make sure the water pump and alternator both were hooked up. Ended up getting the ac working too. Turned out the ac switch was broken so i wired in the crusie control on/off switch to operator the compressor. Boy that car was a hunk of junk and abused, but we loved it!

You see a prius with a bike rack on the top and you are disappointed at the owner.

You see a Prius, look at the owner and think "lightweight".

You know you're an ecomodder if... you think about selling your perfectly good car for a VW Polo (coming in 2011 in Canada right ?) only because you want to know how much less L/100km you would use
