Well if one person out of 6 billion can write fiction novels about it it must be true.

My folks didn’t pay any income tax for many years but half their income back then went to property taxes because they refused to let the house go.

It depends. If you get millions of dollars then you have likely done your homework or hired lawyers and accounts to do it for you and pay hardly any taxes on it.
If you inherent tens of thousands of dollars then the government will try to take their cut.
You know, just to make sure we will always remain proletariat because they decided that's what's best for us.

No wonder the far-left is quite obsessed with taxation of inheritances. On a sidenote, my grandfather had a small beach house and at the moment of transfering it to my grandmother as an inheritance, it was a PITA to circumvent the taxation of it as an inheritance.

Best I can recollect, it was a subset of the Foundation series but written by another author. Sorry, the fable remains, but the details have eroded.

According to Asimov, the premise was based on ideas in Edward Gibbon's History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire,

Four years later, Asimov followed up with yet another sequel, Foundation and Earth (1986), which was followed by the prequels Prelude to Foundation (1988) and Forward the Foundation (1993), published after his death in 1992

So it could be prequel, sequel or fan fiction.

Asimov is more Rivian than Bollinger imho.
