I h8 driving

I just did 22 hours of it in a 24 hour period (stopped thrice) to get back to NJ from MO.

Now I want to die. Plus I saw that new will ferrell movie, that contributed greatly to wanting to die.

Looks like there are lots of great new posts, wish I wasn't so tired.

See you tomorrow, folks,

I filled up before leaving, stopped 8 hours in, stopped to fill up (and sleep for two hours), and stopped 4 hours past then, then blasted on home. I didn't really have any trouble staying awake or concentrating, which I found odd, but yeah, twas an epic drive. I'll enter in my fuel logs here pretty soon.

See you tomorrow, folks,
You obviously didn't have a female in the car with you. That should be added to your 100+ Hypermiling Tips.

(And before anyone gets upset, please understand that I'm not bashing females here. I'd rather ride with my wife and daughter than alone. I will, however, use more gas as we tour the restrooms of America on the way. It's a fact of life - get used to it.)

SVOBoy -

Maybe 10+ years ago I drove from the southwest corner of Colorado (Mesa Verde) to LA for a friend's graduation (700+ miles). But, I got to tag team with my friend driving. We were worn to a frazzle, but we made it, *and* had time to stop at Monument Valley.

I'd never try that today,
