Don't tempt me.... I can't see myself doing a tail on this car. Daily parallel parking and just the fact that this car is so nice, it won't happen.

Once I'm done my next year of school, I was always planning on taking the El Camino to the next level (compound turbo duramax), but I have gotten to really enjoy building for gas mileage. It is cool to build a performance vehicle that can save you money. I am getting "trike envy" after seeing some of the 3 wheeled builds here. IT will have a tail, .

did the horizontal unpainted cardboard attached to your trunk make any measurable impact? if not do you think it would have if it had been extended farther back?

Nice project!

Not that I could measure in any sort of coastdown test, a more rigorous test may have shown a change though.

A moment of silence for a fallen comrade:

It sat for over a year in the wreckers, this is a picture from yesterday on it's way out, if it wasn't gone before, it is now.

End of an aero era.

The good news is the Civic is still lean burning away and proving to be a fantastic car.

That has a certain look of finality to it.

On the plus side, the frontal area has been optimized.

This makes me sad LOL :-) Excuse my question as I have not read the entire thread but did this car get into accident or just got scrapped? Either way I have a 2004 Neon Automatic that I got from Wreckers which I will be transforming into a 1.4L TDI with manual transmission at some point soon. With my Neon the goal is to try and create an inexpensive North American 4dr Polo option :-) The stock 1.4L Polo got over 60mpg US hwy and averages 52mpg US combined. The specs on the Neon and Polo are very similar.

Anyways I loved looking at all your aeromods as this is also the route I am going to take with it. So far what I have read of this thread has given me some great ideas so I want to say thanks for sharing the thread is great :-)

Take care,

GH..
