Sweet I will keep an eye out for that. My last trip was between about 40-65 degrees F i think with 70 mph speeds (had a long way to go). I think my aeromods basically make up for it being an automatic, It would have been cool to see what this car would have done with a 5 speed and some EOC!

Your's is definitely impressive!

Do we know that poster? He's done a lot of mods to his Neon.
I'm right here.

There was a lot more that could have been done, obviously. Right now I'm just having some fun with the car, my new set of tires are high performance all seasons. Quite a change in feel. I don't think I'll be doing anymore ecomodding aside from filling in gaps under the car with scrap coroplast. That is, until I get a new daily driver. I'd really like a Prius c.

The first gen neon is definitely a mpg sleeper. EPA rated 36/37mpg on the freeway under the newer rating system, slightly small frontal area and not really heavy. People have talked about getting over 40mpg on trips for years. Plentiful in junkyards, many factory upgrades available and easy to work on.

Aha! I figured you must be on the forum after reading your posts over on 2gn.org. You should put your Neon in the garage for reference, so it apears with your username.

The car is gone now, but I finally got around to uploading it's final pictures.
On the way home from Ohio with the new VX.

Yeah I had never seen them moving before, I think they look pretty cool.

It was cool driving back home, I was in the VX and my buddy took the Neon home. It was weird to look in my mirror or beside me at a stoplight and see my own car.. Lol. It was also hilarious to get a 3rd person view of people staring at the car when it drove by.
