Little video update. I didn't get to spin up the motors today due to getting bogged down with fitting the 12v battery and sorting the led lights.

Soooo anyway decided to try out something i'd been thinking about since starting the pipe heating and bending for the bike frame. Could i pass a few thousand amps through the steel pipe and use electricity to heat it up for forming? Then answer seems to be yes.

fyi, on the pipe input power from the wall you averaged about 3476 watts (15.8 amps @220V) per second for the first 136 seconds of heating time.

So i finally got around to some more work on the bike. Built up a 96v polymer pack and hit the gas :

The first rather whimpy attempt was at 100amps battery current. I ramped it up to 150 amps for take 2. The bouncing was caused by the battery current limit kicking in and out.
