Windows 8, or more specifically the UI.

Underneath it is quite nice, but doing anything useful is super hard.

Today's torrential downpour just picked up to an especially loud volume.

Just as Ella started to sing "Summertime, and the livin' is easy..."

Several lightning strikes every minute for hours.
One hit our company building. Bang and a constant drone receding gradually, with bangs when it echoes from buildings nearby.
Cars driving through standing water. Flooded streets at home, even some water damage in the house. Not too bad, luckily.

In the height of the storm I looked into a map that shows lightning strikes as a small star. It was entirely yellow, completely drawn over by those stars, for both my work and my living area and all 22 miles in between.

Daily annoyance - those covers for phones and tablets.

Nobody except maybe on the ISS or a similar clean room can ever have got one to fit without bubbles or bits of dust underneath.

I hate you shiney things.

Decals (Windows 7, Intel inside, Dolby Surround Stereo blah, Energy star compliant, etc) on a laptop just where you'd touch it with your hands or wrists.
One of them always has a corner folded upwards and you dare not peel them off as it is a company laptop and the glue might stick or the paint might peel or such.

Every once in a while I expand the row with some fruit stickers or abandons from my kids (Hello Kitty, Cars) but they never last long.

Wasp sting, inside my upper lip about 20 mins ago.

Not allergic but it stings and swells.

What purpose do Wasps serve on this planet, can't we just kill them all please ?

Ouch...I had to fight wasps recently when a tenant abandoned a house he was renting. Two wasp nests chock full of them. Took two cans of wasp killer and an hour of spray-and-get-chased before I finally conquered them.

Stray above or below the limit, and you are doomed to red light hell.
Unless you're on sunrise during rush hour. Then you're beyond screwed!
There are some streets here in Sac like Watt, Greenback, and I think Fair Oaks that actually say the lights are timed @ the posted speed limits to "reduce emissions & help the flow of traffic" or something of the sort, it's been a while since I've seen one. But I've seen people drive past me @ 50mph on a posted 40mph speed limit and see them get stopped 2 lights ahead of me, with me able to coast until the light turns green then they go WOT while I'll gradually get back to 40mph and watch the process play out again
