What do these batteries look like?
How much power do you get out of them.
Yes the lithium fan boys always talk about how common lithium is in the earth's crust but fail to explain if it's so common then why is the battery ore always sourced from Africa or china?

Bah, punctuation is overrated!
I'd rather not be called a lithium "fanboy", but it certainly has it's advantages, energy density being at the forefront. And in second place is it's ability to be recharged thousands of times instead of hundreds.
NiFe batteries can be recharged tens of thousands of times, which is awesome...but they have a worse energy density(wh/kg) than even lead acid, which make them pretty damned useless for anything but stationary power supplies.
I see here that they have a high energy density, which is great. Recharging is "inconvenient". Doesn't say anything about how many times you can, which would be important to me in such a project. My other concern would be the "high internal resistance", which will be murder on either your ability to pull high amps out of them, or else will result in needing a very large battery to overcome.
Thus I'll be interested in your methods to overcome the issues and your progress. Would be nice to have a cheaper alternative to lithium.

Off grid needs lots and lots of cycles and low energy density and high weight is fine.
Mobile needs high power to weight ratio.

Thanks for your advice and thoughts on batteries if you get a chance you can check out what a company called gulf and western did with zinc batteries in late 1970 s and early eighties.
There is a great advert for there battery system if you look at there research they spent millions of dollars bringing the battery to prototype stage they used a zinc Chrolide solution it had great amp hrs and kept the power going to almost exhaustion point of cells. Then they simply used a refrigeration system to trap the Chroline gas in water to form a slushy ice soultion and so the cycle began again my concern was cost of that build and weight hopefully I can achieve same output half the weight by using air as the electrolyte instead of zinc Chrolide and water I will post the drawing and photogragh when I build the stack if you can help point out any flaws and share you experience and battery data that would be great I will run a load test on the bench

Thanks for posting pictures of the EOS system they differ from my design maybe they are more focused on ulitility load what I want to try is a stack with weight and density I will be testing this week hopefully have results by Friday and then try fitting it to truck for road testing I liked the evtv link

If you take some time to watch the most interesting episodes (to you), you'll find that there are a lot of issues you'll need to characterize. - top/bottom balancing?
- battery box heating/cooling needed?
- overcharge/undercharge cause FIRE OR EXPLOSIONS?
- Nordlock washers on the electrical connections?
He's a slow talker, try 125% or 150% speed. Their rule of thumb is that when the battery boxes are complete and populated the job is 80% done.
IIRC they have a contributor in Ireland. I believe he is doing a BMW 5-series conversion.

Still testing battery some great results why is zinc not being used for EVs testing my zinc battery against lithium polymer I find lithium needs constant recharging every third day is that normal for lithium batteries do they self discharge hope to get a 300volt pack built waiting on more zinc not sure how to post a picture of protype 12 volt pack?Could you advise
Ran a 12 volt tractor starter for nearly ten minutes yesterday on bench not in tractor this is good surely

You can attach files - your photo in this case - in the "advanced" reply button, using the "paperclip" button at the top. Maximum 195kb in size, though, so you will probably need to resize them first.
Otherwise you can upload them to a photo hosting site (like photobucket) and just use the "direct link" and paste it in using the "insert image" button at the top of the reply box.
Edit: I take it that tractor starter motor wasn't series-wound, otherwise it would have spun itself to death.
