That's not a Hemi, that's an NSU. This is a hemi:

Mr Beard, did they ever make a wagon with this front end?
Or do they make a kit to make one of these into a wagon?

I did some searching and found one that was clearly a square back chop job. But I didn't find an answer to either of these. So I'm assuming no to both questions.

edit:

Here's a strange one! Its an armored car!

No, and probably not. The production numbers were too low. There existed a website of VW phantoms (http://fakevolkswagen.blog.de/). It's gone now. This is from there;

Here's a picture from thesamba that was posted by the likely site owner, one prostreetnotch:

VW did make a fastback prototype:

That Gurgel is down in cRiPpLe_rOoStEr territory.

I don't know which one I will be able to take to the Bug Run on June the 3rd.
So many options, not enough clones! Then you could drive the whole fleet!

If you do a build on that new car, you should create a new build thread for it and save this topic for silly pictures. That's my plan when I post my next car build.

Silly enough?

There will be a build thread for sure. One thing I want to do is put a U-shaped frame inside the rear hatch that will swing out and make the other half of a gable roof, with telescoping legs to the ground. Then a tarp/tent will make a room for camping.

Sleep in the car, cook on the ground.

Ah the ole eco-camper. I had that with my old van. But I hardly used it in that fashion as my schedule didn't allow that much social time. I was checking out a '74 vandetta as a replacement. But I didn't like how they did the conversion, so I passed on it.

This one is just ugly!

this is not a Kubelwagen, it's all aluminum:

What benefit from registering as an ATV?

x2 Those Things are cool. I would buy one if they made them in a hardtop 3 door wagon. I could go either way on the "all aluminum"....

edit: where I live you can ride atv's on the street ~ benefit = no registration or inspection drama, just a $15 sticker from the state every 3 years
