Guess not. I don't dislike it I was just drawing a comparison. It could have been as easily, lowriders and city buses.

I'd call it a good start. I still don't know how Mouse Studios created that poster. In Blender the dotted line and proximity mapping is trivial (for some ) with Geometry Node and Material Node maps, but they did it in the 1960s.

Pin-striping in early hot-rods and low-riders is quite an impressive artwork.

This post almost fell off the Recent Posts page. Can't have that.

Just A Car Guy: REALLY nice paint work!

Not a fan of the low rider paint, but just about everything else.
  • frenched 1959 Cadillac tail light (always in good taste)
  • Judson blower (missing the cast aluminum elbow and air cleaner)
  • chopped rear seat exposes the transaxle
  • low-backed buckets with backrests
  • centered dash
  • un-V'd two-piece windshield
I just noticed the see-through side panels.

Making some sort of low-rider out of a beach-buggy is quite strange. Well, it would be interesting to see some with that hydraulic suspension just like the full-size rides.

I'm not generally a fan of front V-8 engines in VWs, but....

....the Westy pop-top makes this one.

Most likely I'd much rather try that 3-cyl Radial Motion engine made in Australia if I were looking for an "unconventional" engine swap into a classic Volkswagen.

While that is somewhat expensive for the general public, it isn't out of line for a custom racing engine, and downright cheap for aircraft radials. Full reman of an existing 4 banger lycomming is twice that

It's not really something I would expect the average Joe to even lurk about its existence, but it could fare better than some other engine swaps I often see on rear-engined Volkswagens. Maybe it could also be nice for a Subaru for instance.

It was originally meant for light-sport aircraft, and the only other radials that may also fit such applications are those 7-cyl and 9-cyl Rotec Aerosport engines.

The smallest 4-banger Lycoming currently available has nearly twice the displacement of that 3-cyl radial.
