Now that's a Volkswagen motor! Built by Ed Roth:

Just A Car Guy: It sure is cool to find that there's still one more thing out there that is new to me, that I haven't come across before, something I can share with you - as maybe you haven't either

Of all of the oddball creations dreamed up within Big Daddy's workshop, the Wishbone stands out on its own being one of the only one to be powered by a Volkswagen Motor.
I don't buy this. He built lots of tricycles and even put a VW motor in a shaft drive Harley Davidson motorcycle.

The Chrysler Imperial taillight is a nice touch and the rear tires are pulled right into the valve covers.

Tomorrow is the 34th Annual Northwest Bug Run – Presented by the Rose City Volksters, but once again I don't choose to go. Maybe if my Superbeetle was prepped for sale, but I don't want to put the miles on it since it's not.

Plus I'd just end up getting another set of wheels. I still haven't powdercoatd these:

At least the ones on the car are detailed better than seen here.

The pictures of this Saveiro on the other hand are old, and I haven't seen it anymore

How far are you from I-5?

The asking price makes me cringe because I only got $1450 for this:

I'd started at $3000 months before.

Xist -— More like this:

With this BGW kit, you have to cut out the rear package shelf to let air from under the car to the cooling system. But it has the perfect taper to the stock body length. This sets you up for a boat tail.

The BGW door is about where the open frame former is. Instead of fiberglass the whole thing could be redwood. (sanded and varnished, with cream-colored pinstripes)

Minimally, a boat tail deck with a single rumble seat and nautical running lights. The rumble seat is spaced forward from the firewall to let the seat back fold open, and it's 6-8" higher than the stock rear seat but it would have better leg room.

Probably price received is location, location, location.

Medford is full of rich retired hippies from Smell-A. Way pricier than Grants pass 30 miles down the road.

50 bucks for a type 1 towbar, but U haul rents a bumper hitch that works.

So, like Bend then.

Ron Howard bought this 1970 VW Bug new in 1970---and it was his first car. He still owns and drives it.
