Not a bad thing at all, has been done for a long time. 1940 or earlier perhaps. My comment was that in order to make the panel flat and shiney like a mirror all along the vehicle you have to deal with the door edges somehow. Otoh, I recall early bussies from the 60's were flat across the door from the factory

In the aftermath of the floods this year, I saw a lot of police vehicles from other states in my hometown, including this Amarok from Santa Catarina

This Sunday there was an Emis at a local antique cars show. Also didn't have anything other than a small canvas top. If I had the chance to get one with the optional hardtop with built-in gullwing doors, similar to one I used to see in Florianópolis, would be nearly perfect for me...
