Hippie? Idunno. I recall assorted different colors of various flowers and balloons painted on typically a chartreuse base coat. Blue with white upper second, at least in Hermosa Beach
Definitely Goth. Excellent find of a bussie extremely reworked to much better than new
Freebeard would be the authority, with aerohead as the technical back up.

Getting that smooth a reflection in the gloss black would take lot of block sanding down the sides.

Probably spline sanding with buffed extrusion. Couldn't do it in metalflake
Door panel edges on that polo are curved result of the crimp process

Is it a bad thing at all? Just a remind, it's made in India, so I don't know to which extent Volkswagen was aready trying to simplify the manufacturing process there as it does with the new generation.
