245/70R16 Firestone Destination A/Ts (44psi max sidewall). I normally run 44 front, 40 rear, although I've pushed them up to 46/44 when towing, and run 46/42 once for handling purposes (a little extra air tightens the front end up a good bit).

I've actually lowered the tire pressure to 35 from 40. The reduced ride comfort and the constant rattling were getting on my nerves.

If the police do it then it must be legal and safe.
I love it Bob, You drive two prius' and shoots guns with big flames My wife has an M44 that does that. Economy with firepower. My cars look too much the part.

In my case, maximum sidewall pressure, 51 psi, accomplishes my goals so I'm happy. But I would have no problem with running up to 60 or 70 psi.

60+ (hot) so that i can be certain to be 10 overmax sidewall (45) in most cooler conditions. Ten over max sidewall was what MetroMPG test and found the max benefit. Been doing that for 3 years, 12000-15000 miles/year.

Fronts I run at 55 psi
Rears I run at 50 psi
The rack & pinion steering is really responsive, and I haven't seen any odd tread wear yet. I've been running this psi for 6 months.
I'm not gonna say the ride is all that comfortable, lol . . . I feel it if I run over a cigarette butt in the road, but it will coast half a mile!
