Yes. They're behind the plastic plugs that you can easily pop out.

don't worry he's more than made up for it with that high flow muffler back exshaust

lol. At hypermiling rpm the duct surely won't really have any significant impact. But I just wanted to point out that he's probably better off without it unless he can get above ambient pressure in there.

The duct work is a temporary experiment and will probably be removed after this tank of fuel runs out. I do not notice any change or difference with or without the tube so far, except without the tube, you can hear the throttle body.

Sorry, I did not get any pics, but this is a huge experiment! I have dropped my custom exhaust and put on my used cat I had here in the shop. The reason for this?

I am taking the car to another local shop in Pennsylvania to have it PA State Inspected by another mechanic tomorrow!

I am a PA inspection mechanic also and could easily (lick and stick) my car even though there are no inspection requirements in Ohio where I live and my car does not require any inspection at all. After properly repairing the frame and all the other issues, the only thing legally keeping my car from passing one of the nation's most stringent safety inspections is the missing cat.

This is a real test of my skills! Taking a native 10 year old Ohio car to the great Commonwealth State of Pennsylvania for a safety inspection! This is absurd, unheard of, and absolutely crazy talk!

I actually have one thing that may or may not be an issue, but that depends on if the mechanic knows what he is looking for. My rear swaybar mounts rusted off, so I removed the entire swaybar, and patched the mount areas and the one other hole in my floorboard. I know I don't like rubberized undercoating, but this stuff hides everything, so I painted that rear swaybar mount area patch with it. The earlier Metro models had no swaybar, so we will have to see what happens.

I will post the results tomorrow.

PS: This junkyard cat is also throwing the P0420 code and when I shake it, it's rattling like a can of bolts, so after the inspection, I will remove one clamp and the 2 spring bolts and put my custom pipe back on. This also made a difference in my power. A melted cat clogs up when you gas it hard enough. This also may or may not affect my fuel log, but this is something I want to prove to myself.

I missed the 3rd brake bulb somehow, but he put one in for me for $16.75 plus tax!! They happen to have this "minimum labor charge" at 1/4 hour labor. I did not argue (cringed at the thought that I paid someone to put a freakin' bulb in) I just paid the bill and rolled out with this................



After I got home, I double-checked the bulb install and he did not have the socket in all the way either. I apologized to my Metro for letting some stranger molest her for a day, but we all know that will never happen again. How the hell can people afford to have their cars worked on? I am thankful that I chose a career path that not only pays my bills, but saves me money by repairing my own vehicles.

Tomorrow, I put my custom "Johnny-Built" pipe back on the car.

Total cost for inspection and bulb = $48.50

Didn't you spend approximately that much rebuilding the whole fargin' engine? LOL

I don't know how people afford to have cars worked on either. I have basically taught myself to do car repairs, and I am up about $2000 or so because of it. No way could I own two cars (and soon a motorcycle) if I had to pay for labor.
