I joined Team Metro but I fear that my massive amounts of city-only driving hurt the overall average. If only I drove on the interstates more often...

Can we have a link back to the main competition page from the individual team pages? You click on someone's team link and you can see the rankings within that team. From there, there's no link to the team rankings. You can delete the "?id=11" in the url, but that's a clunky way to do it.

Yeah. Friend pulled the head last weekend, I got it back from the machine shop yesterday (Thurs). This weekend we hope to put it all back together. It's an expensive gamble; I hope it works out well. I've been driving the old Volvo temporarily, getting about 21-22 mpg in that (very old school snow tires)!

Great news / Not so good news

Good news: Lean Burn Civic is back on the road with its head rebuilt (4 new valves and 8 valve guides on a 16-valve engine), and seems to be running like a top, knock on wood.

Not so good news? I joined Team Honda for about a minute. Unfortunately my 90-day avg is 37.08 mpg due to how badly it was running the last few months. I took a look at how the stats are calculated. I decided to wait a bit before joining Team Honda till my average comes up a bit!

"How are the stats calculated? ... Currently using the data from under the user's name in the forum, 90 day FE stats, then averaging that straight up so each member is equal and not biased based on who drives more."

You guys are doing great! Keep it up and I plan to be in with you asap.

May I suggest an improvement ?

It would be to schedule a weekly recalculation of the 90 days FE for everybody. This would permit to "remove" from the competition the cars without any fill during the last 90 days and would permit the team averages to move faster. Of course the zeroed people shouldn't be taken to calculate the team averages.

Also the team averages would be more accurate, per example for diesel team only 4 cars are updated while 7 are registered.

This improvement would also contribute to more fair top 10.

Denis.

About top 10, could the dieselpercent page be corrected as it shows gasoline cars, as the gasolinepercent page, and not diesel ones.
Thanks in advance.
