Hi everyone! I just dropped in because redyaris invited me to the Motorcycle team
So I'll read the topic as my schedule permits
I sadly see that my new team is not too active (2 members with logs practically abandoned in 2009, redyaris, and me ), but I'll do my best keeping my log up to date. And to reach as good FE as I can.

Anyway, is this something like a BOINC or SETI team? I've been in UD and BOINC for a while, but the researches I donated so much CPU time did not come up with a cure for cancer or new pulsars during those years and I gave up on them, feeling the invested energy a waste in the end.

A good real life FE, as Teresa is not only for joyrides but commutes, long 2-up trips we have to do, and everything else, as she's a car substitute too (we have no car yet, and we'll lack it for a while as a house is higher priority). I ride down to mild frosts, now I met snowfall too, and don't want to do it again. And I try to avoid short distance rides - that's what my feet are for. Or a bicycle.

And the obligatory Kaguya expression:

Hm, I haven't broken that barrier yet... I had a 98.9mpg tank in 2009, and quite a few 90+ since then, but 100... that needs serious work and optimal circumstances! Last year's 2-up travels and my shorter commute (25 vs 60km) really didn't help. Nor did the unusually rainy weather.

Maybe a month before I sign onto Team Honda??

First real test of the refurbished head on the HX: So far, the 'guino is showing 44.x mpg over about 180 miles, mostly at highway speeds but 55 mi. in serious rain. And I don't see any evidence of oil burning, yet. That's what sent the head to the shop - serious qty oil in the cylinders, mostly via the valves.
