Thanks. I have changed all the prog_char with const char (ctl-f) and physicaly substitute one for the other, but without sucess. I understand some of you made profi with this, but I'm at my begginings in programing so I would appreciate guidance has to what is going on... The compiler is just reporting way too many errors and that tells me something fondemental I'm not doing well.
Best regards.

I think it is because the code was done with an old IDE, it does not work with 1.0+, you have to install a 0.xx version

I was able to convert the code to use the newest IDE, but I am not at all sure it will work. Does anyone want to test it?

@Magister
You are a genius my freind
I have unistall version 1.6.5 of IDE and installed an old 1.0.6 that I have found over the net and now it compiles and load everything without errors
Now I got to work on the interface for a kw1281 protocol. I have a few options there for level shifters mc33290, L9637 or individual opto-isolators.

Hello.
I have a simple task to achieve, I guess, but I'm stuck. All I need to do is to read the Speed of the vehicle using data from the obd2 k-line pin, and then to send a command to blink the brake lights when a certain decrease in speed is detected (e.g. more than 2km/h/s). I can not initialize the k-line and I am not able to read anything on the serial monitor on arduino . The vehicle is an 2004 BMW E60, uses ISO_14230_fast but I guess this is not an issue.

So, all I need Is some help from someone to extract from the code only the part for init sequence for ISO_14230_fast and sone way to read the speed on the serial monitor.
