nope .. just the instant read on my MPGUINO and the butt-o-meter .. good enough for me.

I notice improved idle in my 95 accord. Nothing with my CTS-V but with the cam smooth would be tough to judge. my travels are not consistent enough for mpg comparisons. I have no problem adding some lubrication to my fuel.

FYI:

1oz : 4 gallons = 1:512 ratio = .195%
1oz : 5 gallons = 1:640 ratio = .156%
1oz : 10 gallons = 1:1280 ratio = .0781%

You realize this is a concentration of between 7/100ths and 2/10ths of one percent.

Sorry, I tried to make a nice pie chart to help illustrate the additive:gas ratio, but the pie chart generators either wouldn't do it because the additive value was too small, or it gave me a circle with a "radius" line in it. :/

Somebody find me an example of anything fuel and oil related that is effective at that concentration.

Typical formulations called for 1 part of prepared TEL to 1260 parts untreated gasoline.

1/1260 = .079% if i'm doing my math right.

ehh, in the ranger, if it doesn't get a dose of oil in the tank, within about 3 gallons used, gets a nasty misfire/dropped cylinder at cold startup. possibly an injector issue. but if i throw in oil at a rate of 1 oz/5 gallon, it goes away after a few gallons are used.


not that using oil in fuel is really a permanant fix to a mechanical issue, but it helps that at the very least. now, if at some point it "fixed" the injector to where i wouldn't need to keep dosing the fuel with oil, i wouldn't complain at all, but i'm not expecting it.


i will say that i've gotten a record tank with it now though, a whopping 27.8MPG... which beat my previous best tracked tank by nearly 2MPG. more than just the oil contributed to that though, so i can't really quantify it as being from oil alone.

Actually fuel with tcw3 burns cleaner. In fact it lubricates and cleans.

Most any ICE benefits from top end lube esp. when using ethanol which should never be in your fuel.

Adding the tcw3 will have little effect on +EF if your plugs, valves and rings are new and clean but it will maintain their pristine condition.
Folks with dirty top ends could notice a nice +EF as the internals are cleaned.

It is funny that some people that have no problem using Techron (which is fantastic stuff) MMO, Lucas etc. don't seem to grasp the concept of TCw3 clean burning oil.
