New member here, I've been doing extensive reading, and I enjoy the challenge. Our MPG-mobile is my wife's 2017 Honda HRV. Consistent 32 mpg. Leaving the ECO setting on, increasing tire pressure to 36psi, and changing my driving style [including dropping freeway speed to 65 instead of 70] has resulted in average mpg increase to 33-35, with a high of 37 today. future mods include experimenting with grill blocking, and extending the front air dam. Not bad for a small AWD SUV.

Do you have an instantaneous miles per gallon gauge on your Honda? If not, get one. You will see what costs you the most fuel and where you can save the most.

Yes, our HR-V has an instant MPG gauge as well as an average reading.

Update: 250-mile round trip this week; 90% freeway, cruise set at 65 mph. Results: 37.1 mpg.

Also, my daily is a '95 Mercury Grand Marquis, 4.6 V8 with dual exhaust, overdrive automatic, 3.31 LSD rear. Consistent 20-24 mpg.

I changed my driving style and increased tire pressure to 36 psi. Last tank 24.6 mpg!

Today, I blocked 25% of the grill with clear packing tape and increased tire pressure to 38 psi.
