Visionary, I watched the video and really enjoyed it, but I noticed you reaching down with your left hand as you rounded the turn.
What was that? Are you shifting by hand? Please excuse if you've already covered this in an earlier post, I only happened upon this thread a few minutes ago, and I'm utterly frazzled from a day working with over 30 volunteers since 6:00 this morning.

In answer to your observation – yes that was me changing down a gear prior to the turn. You didn’t miss details in the build log, as I didn’t cover it in detail. My hope was to make a steering mounted shift system using solenoids or cables, but the complexity got the better of me. Instead I quickly made a long lever which attached to the original (but cut down) footlever. Here is an image
I don’t plan to use this system when I get it roadworthy, but it does work quite well.

VISIONARY=== I was wondering with all of the added stress and huge demand you will be putting on the little motor that if an oil cooler wouldn't jut be the ticket for you...and possibly Craig's Honda. I found a link where a guy custom made one for his C90, enjoy! | Oil Cooler

Thanks to HHOTDI – that link was very informative, thankyou.
Using oil cooling to supplement the capability of the airflow is something I have long thought about. I still feel confident that my ducting and cooling fan will keep the motor temp under control, but one BIG advantage of the oil cooler is that I can use heat in the cabin for comfort and demisting.
This link makes it easy to add the facility (one less thing to design/develop), thanks again!

what I like about your design,is your attention to comfort, ample leg room, keeping it low, extended wheelbase all add up to some really nice handling.Your design makes for a low CD in body design.I think with testing, you will find you can achieve your goal with much more power, setting it up with a cruise speed,How about a compact 20 hp diesel with a turbo, that should give some big mpg,200 plusTheir are designers out their capable of building a beautiful body for your vehicle, but if you find the time ,take a look at the []Simple by BMW,it has a very low CD,is as comfortable as a sedan and it mostly is flat panels,it also is easy to get in and out, with a gull wing type door,a lambo type would be nice..Their is a product made by Alcoa,I will get the name of it.do you plan to refine this,i think you have a great layout, for kits or production, you could refine this, making it strong, light using aluminum glue, rivets or chrome molly tube square .

you could use the 80/20 extruded aluminum for your next phase ,allowing for a prototype chassis or changes on the fly,it is strong enough to be used in real world testing.A cheap Harbor freight table saw and a metal blade, cuts it like butter.Just a thought to keep costs down, its like a erector set. They have lots of hardware,to make just about anything.
