Inflatable plane, inflated to 7psi. Is there any reason why nobody has made an inflatable boat tail?

Because I'm lackadaisical.
This was designed for fiberglass tension rods instead of inflation, but either could apply. The main point was that the roof of the difusser is rigid, to solidify the inflated structure.

Lots of explanation in the article, but no mention of the extreme camber of the 'wings'. They look more like [detached] spoilers than wings to me.

Look like a kids version of a paper airplane wrongly folded rudder to me. These look to cause the vehicle to correct by the huge amount of drag behing the CG or COP not the result of a flow re direction. However they are WRX racers so outlandish scores more points than actual function.
